The Problem

Ellenoff Grossman & Schole LLP needed to execute a full commercial office clean-out and law firm office decommissioning in NYC within a strict end-of-week deadline. Following a merger with another law firm, the entire office space was no longer needed, and all furniture, equipment, documents, electronics, and remaining office materials had to be removed quickly. The scope included: - Vacating approximately 9,000 square feet of office space - Clearing 12 private offices - Removing 3 conference rooms - Decommissioning an IT infrastructure room - Removing office furniture, filing cabinets, electronics, documents, and debris - Coordinating truck access and freight elevator usage with The MET Tower - Delivering the full space broom clean within 48 hours Operational risks included: Tight deadline with limited building access Night and overtime work required to meet the schedule Large volume of office furniture and filing cabinets IT infrastructure removal, including cabling, racks, and patch panels Need for responsible electronics recycling and landfill diversion Requirement to leave the space fully cleared and ready for handover This required one reliable partner capable of managing clean-out, office decommissioning, IT asset removal, building coordination, recycling, and broom-clean delivery under a compressed timeline.

Started the operation on Thursday after coordinating directly with building management.

Loaded materials after 6:00 PM using two separate elevators to avoid disruption and meet building requirements.
Removed office chairs, desks, conference room furniture, filing cabinets, storage cabinets, documents, electronics, and miscellaneous office items.
Decommissioned the IT infrastructure room, including cabling, racks, patch panels, and associated equipment.
Processed computer monitors, printers, laptops, desktops, and other electronics through WALTER’s certified recycling program.
Completed remaining disassembly and removal on Day 2.
